First anniversary of the loss of our beautiful young man.

Created by TJ 2 years ago

Can't quite believe it's nearly a whole year without Nicholas; just doesn't seem real still to any of us.  We've added a few photos, one of a meal out for Tom's birthday April 2021; one of the last photos of us all together enjoying a pub lunch. Another of a unique and amazing commission tribute from Nick's God Mum, Sue, depicting some of our interests, and things so relevant to us as a family. Finally, a photo of our house nearing completion which Nick was such an integral part of, in both construction and planning; a house that he will never now painfully see completed.

A year on, and we are so shattered at our loss of him. He was a joy from the time of his birth, right through to the last.

Nick was such fun, always messing around with Tom, making his Ma and Nan jump & joking with his Pa. At the end of a working day, he'd always grab a beer, time to sit down and chat - how he loved to chat.  Funny stories would be relayed with his infectious humour and mannerisms - a natural affability which made you want to be around him so much.  We miss this so very much, and always will.

He cared deeply for his cats Wadi and Manny; so amazingly gentle with them both - and many other animals including our dog, Marley.  We bought his first hamster Fidget, when he was seven. He cared so tenderly for it and was utterly smitten - a theme which would run throughout his life with animals.

It's hard to write when there is so very much to say, but we are so very proud to have been blessed with Nicholas as our son, and to see him grow into such a wonderful, human being, a talented builder & musician and a caring, loyal and considerate young man, whom people loved dearly and thought so well of.

Rest in peace Nicholas - our beautiful son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend.
